Which is better for a 3 day Hawaiian vacation – Maui, Kauai, or the Big Island?
I’m going there in August with my wife and 2 kids (ages 5 and 6).
I’ve been to Oahu already and want to see another island.
Any recommendations among these 3?
I will be renting a car so I’d like to drive around the island and see as much as possible in 3 days.
Not interested in scuba diving/snorkeling/surfing.
Just need rest and relaxation, fun in the sun and on the beaches.
I’d like to see a lot of the island’s beauty and maybe a volcano.

Easy! Maui! Maui has got tons to do, beautiful beaches and the Haleakala volcano. One top-rated activity is to ride up to the top of the volcano at dawn, watch the sunrise, and then ride down on bikes the tour provides.
The beach with the most going on is Ka anapali Beach. It’s really huge and has shops and activities everywhere. Make sure to go to the Old Lahaina Luau – it’s a great experience (my favorite).
