What is the difference between a wetsuit and a drysuit?
For diving. No silly answers please.
When you enters the water wearing a wetsuit, wet suit allows a thin layer of water between the person's body and the wetsuit. The body then heats the water and this allows heat to be maintained and kept warm. There are different thicknesses of neoprene suits depending on how cold the water is going to be, and how much flexibility is you wish. Usually ranging from 2 mm to 9 mm, ranging from full body suits, two suits of hand, top and bottom, to shorties that are short arms and legs for hot water. The thicker the wetsuit, the better it retains heat and is more difficult to move. If you are diving in water that cold, you want a thick suit. If you going to be surfing in cold waters, you will want a thinner application. A dry suit is exactly what it says it is. This really keeps you dry suit below demand while in cold water. It is close to the body suit that maintains a double layer of warm air layer between you and demand. It has waterproof seals around of the neck, wrists and face. This keeps you very dry and warm.
