Jumping from a plane?
No, it's not crazy. Not even a little. The fact is that the sport of skydiving is an activity that produces a real adrenaline peak in most of those who seek it. More and more are doing just that, including residents of Texas at Dallas, Houston and throughout the state.
It is, by nature and, perhaps, by definition, a basic risk associated with sport. You are, after all, leaving the relative safety of the airplane rises at 10,000 feet or less necessary for your sky dive in the first place. One of the first items of business when a skydiver reaches a novice skydiving school is a registration form that includes a recognition of those risks.
The United States Parachute Association, which has a list of schools and drop zones on its Web site also has a list of essential safety requirements that will need to meet prospective paratroopers, including the need to be in good health and condition physics. Also, anyone considering taking up skydiving as a sport should be free of any drugs that may affect the trial or performance. If someone has given blood or actually under water (diving), diving, waiting a few days before parachuting may be necessary.
How old is in need of someone to either before participating in the sport of skydiving? While some allow children at least 16 years of age (with notarized parental or guardian) to take the ground training, more often that schools do not require jumpers to be 18.
Once training is done, the next trial. Tests written, oral and practical, are part of the paratroopers should be subject to scheme. Written tests give students the opportunity to explain their knowledge and understanding, while the oral test is used to develop decision-making capacity. The practice test is designed for students to demonstrate their reactions and skills.
At the same time, testing as part of the skydiving training program gives students confidence that the necessary lessons have actually been absorbed, a important consideration, for obvious reasons.
The training does not have to take a long time, however. In many cases, it is no more than 30 minutes and doing training and first jump could take only half a day.
When is the first go itself, a tandem type of free fall is to often the most common form of jumping, for having both the student and adjunct instructor at the same parachute system. The free fall is by 30 to 50 seconds, depending on the height of jump (perhaps between 10,000 and 13,000 feet). Both the instructor and the novice down together under a single large parachute with dual controls.
A second method, accelerated free fall, is made with two instructors to leave the plane with the student. The three together for the free fall of 30 to 50 seconds (depending altitude). The instructors maintain a grip on the harness of the student, for instructional purposes in the air, and help with stability if necessary. For nearly 4,000 meters above the ground, the student opens the parachute and brings it to the landing zone.
The third form of a sky diving instructor is first, assisted deployment, or static line method, made after practical instruction in the essentials – that rise and out of the aircraft, freefall, canopy flight, landing and emergency procedures.
A key difference: the parachute is deployed immediately after leaving the aircraft, usually about 3,500 feet, followed by the student pilot's parachute to the ground.
However, other training techniques used in the sport of parachuting is the vertical wind tunnel, a large fan that produces an air stream strong enough to support a person or a small group of people. Some instructors to use the technique to teach the stability and maneuvering in preparation for a real free fall.
Skydiving is for you? Increasingly, the who have a passion for learning something new, looking at sports like this as an opportunity to "push the envelope" with regard to conventional activities.
With proper training (much of it based on common sense) and attitude, skydiving can give a healthy person the "lift" they need.
