Australia shark attack while diving?

Ok, so I'm planning to go to Australia and want to go snorkeling on the reef, but I'm very scared that I will attack like a great white shark or something. So do a lot of people being attacked? If there is a lot of people diving makes it less likely to be attacked? Maybe I just watch too much TV, but I'm petrified, but it's my dream. I'm a little more than react?
